Hi, I'm Jane, 44 from fareham in Hampshire.Happily married with one grown up daughter and a grandson on the way,God i feel old! I've yo yoed with my weight all my adult life since the age of 17 after i had my daughter. Im not huge,only 13 stone but have given up smoking and putting on the pounds steadily.I'm only 5'2" tall(or short!) so i am classed as obese! I am hopefully having my band fitted on the 1st march 11 (should the loan be successful!)I LOVE food,mostly the wrong fatty food,tho eat alot of healthy stuff like fish,veg ect too. I love to eat wheather happy,sad,bored. I have been on all the usual diets,WW,slimworld,ect & had Xenical.I have lost up to 3 stones on these,(sometimes) but always end up gradually putting the weight back on when ive stopped,I just cant seem to change the way i eat for life. I cant be the only person to be like this or there wouldn't be any fat people in this world,but can someone please tell me,how if all else has failed before,especilly 'willpower'does one stick to the right way of eating once the band is fitted!? Has anyone not managed to keep to the portion sizes,right food ect. and not lost weight? Will i still have butter on my jacket potato and mayo on my salad!? Or will i find the strenght to for go the luxurys because i'm aware of my band.Maybe the cost of it is a reminder? Help, so confused,and would love to hear from anyone who had these concerns before the op. Thanks All.
