Hi I have just had my band fitted at Dolan Park Hospital on Sat 16th October. The whole experience was sine, the Consultant Mr Li was very nice and the nursing staff are very nice and helpful. The Hospital is very clean and in lovely surroundings in Bromsgrove. I was 'Chauffered' to and from in hospital transport provided free of charge and the drivers were really friendly. I took my mum along with me as my husband stayed at home to lok after out 4 yr old daughter.

The first couple of days I felt ok with a little discomfort where the band/port is, but yesterday (Tues) has a bad day and felt down and seemed to be in more pain. Today has been a better day but am still in some pain in the same area (feel like I've been doing sit ups).The pain is worse when I get up and down from being sat or lied. I also get a burning sensation. I was a little surprised that I was onlt discharged with liquid paracetemol and thought I would have been given something a little stronger (probably just me, I soft!!!)

The plus side is I don't feel hungry at all, so I am one of the lucky ones I guess at the moment!

Looking foward to my shepherds pie in a couple of weeks!!
